Popular culture loves nothing more than a great robot, ranging from the friendly, to the fearsome.

And while, sadly, we still haven't reached the point where we all have a robot in the house (come on Science), TV and film regularly imagines worlds where a metallic friend or foe is commonplace.

Designer Scott Park has collected together a host of famous 'bots from the small and big screen on one amazing poster - take a look and see how many you can name (they're listed in full at the bottom).
