Edible Spoons Invented

Edible Spoons Invented

22 Apr 2013

Well, this is simple, sensible and really quite smart.

Design company Triangle Tree have invented what appears to be the world's first edible spoon.

The spoon comes in three different flavours - plain, spicy and sweet, to complement whichever meal you plan to enjoy - and are made from corn flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, eggs, milk, spices and herbs. In addition to adding to taste, they could mean the end to environmentally-unfriendly plastic spoons, which can take up to 1,000 years to decompose.

It's an invention without any obvious drawbacks, so well done Triangle Tree. However, we can't help thinking that the Sherbet Swizzle Stick got there first when it came to edible cutlery - maybe they should get their lawyers on the case.
