ASDA is now offering a service whereby shoppers can purchase a 3D copy of themselves for a surprisingly reasonable price. In fact, you can obtain a 3D version of whatever you want but we just assumed you're as narcissistic as we are...
We tried the process for ourselves and it was relatively pain-free. A two-minute scanning session involves a 3D camera taking in every part of the desired object. It's then recreated in 3D by spraying ceramic fluid in thin layers to create a solid object.
