Pay tribute to VHS in your living room

Pay tribute to VHS in your living room

Furniture design goes back to the Eighties

Blu-rays are all well and good, with scalpel-sharp pictures and endless bonus footage, but they don’t have the romance of an old VHS tape.

That’s clearly the opinion of the good folk at T76 Design, who have immortalised the archaic cassette in furniture-form.

Hand-crafted from recycled Indonesian teak, this stunning coffee table gives the appearance of three over-sized video tapes hastily stacked atop one another.

In a nicely authentic touch, on the top ‘tape’ you’ll see the Star Wars trilogy has been crossed out to make way for Police Academy 4.

You can purchase one for £1,242, but be warned: placing it in your living room will make you feel nostalgic. And about 10in tall.
