Ever since that infamous plastic bag went on a wander in American Beauty, we've been trying to recreate a similarly magic moment in an urban landscape. But, and you'll be surprised at this, we've failed repeatedly.

Capturing something beautiful in the middle of a city such as London is not easy. So bow down before French photographer Jonathan Morer who has managed to find and snap a whole bucketload of them.

In his new exhibition For We / Are Overtaken, he showcases the random occurrences that take place near his flat in East London. From a bunch of colourful balloons disappearing into the sky to an unruly group of drunkards lighting a flare, his pictures are a varied snapshot of six years of work.

The show begins on August 8th and runs until August 18th at Elys Yard at the Truman Brewery in London.
