The Silence of the Lambs Wine

The Silence of the Lambs Wine

31 May 2013

The cultured Hannibal Lecter is back on our TV screens and it's good to see our very favourite forensic psychiatrist serial killer again. Lecter, of course, is an avid fan of gourmet food and, naturally, complimenting vino, so he would surely appreciate this newly released Silence of the Lambs wine set.

Alamo Drafthouse in the US has released two wines: Cannibal Chianti ("A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chainti") and Suit Yourself Pinot Grigio - a reference to Buffalo Bill's love of wearing suits made of women's skin (a delightful fellow, Bill).

The wines are available to buy from here, and retail at $32 each; a limited edition 'Lecter's Package' is priced at $75 and includes a bottle of lotion (another Buffalo Bill favourite), some fava beans and a recipe from Alamo Drafthouse Chef Trish Eichelberger.

So now you, too, can have some friends for dinner.
