When it comes to news about Ghostbusters 3, we've learnt to curb our excitement a bit. The film has been mooted for years but nothing has ever materialised.
But it seems as if the wheels are finally in motion, with filming set to start next year. Little is known about the sequel but we sat down with Dan Aykroyd to see if we could squeeze any information out of him. We totally did.
He hinted that the new film will be focused on a younger set of busters, following in the footsteps of another recent sci-fi reinvention.
“I’m going to be meeting Ivan [Reitman] on June 7 in Cleveland, which is exciting as it’s been on and off for a few years but we’re really looking at a solid script now," Aykroyd told us. "And I can say that it will be focused on the new generation - think the latest Star Trek."
He also gave a very quick tease on what we can expect from the plot.
"We’re very interested in the anti-matter research that’s going on in the world," he said. "I look at CERN and think it could be a breeding ground for the paranormal."
Dan Aykroyd was promoting Crystal Head Vodka’s 50th anniversary Rolling Stones edition which is now available at Crystalheadvodka.com
