It’s probably already marked in your diary, but just in case it isn’t – 25 August is the fourth annual Mr HydeNational Burger Day.
Founded three years ago in a fit of mild indignation that there wasn’t a National Burger Day in the UK, but were two in the US (and a National Cheeseburger Day), the event set out to right that wrong. And we’ll modestly call it a huge success: 2015 saw over 125,000 tweets and 40,000 instagram posts tagged with #NationalBurgerDay.
Last year we had 475 restaurants giving 20% off your burgers on the day - this year will be bigger and better. We’ve already got over 700 - yes, seven hundred - restaurants signed up nationwide to celebrate the big day including Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Byron, MeatLiquor, Bleecker Street, Patty & Bun and many, many more.
To qualify for the discount, you’ll need a voucher – head to the link below to download it, then grab your diary and a thick red pen to mark the day.
And then to top it all off there will be a massive burger bash for over 3000 readers at Hawker House with Street Feast. Tickets go on sale this Wednesday 27 July.
