If there's one thing we didn't need any encouragement with this Christmas, it's eating an astronomical amount of calories, then complaining when we feel ill.
But renegade Birmingham takeaway Hollywood Fish Bar has created a true festive artery-buster, with a deep-fried Christmas dinner burger.
Both main and dessert have been given the treatment, with a battered turkey crown, stuffing and cranberry sauce, smothered in gravy forming the meat of a festive burger, and deep-fried mince pies and Christmas pudding for afters.
Owner Chris Christoforou stated, “it’s the ideal thing to bite into while watching the Queen’s Speech or Great Escape” - and who are we to disagree with the creator of deep-fried Creme Eggs, which he premiered at Easter, earlier this year. You can watch him in action in the video below.
Across the city, Bearwood Fish Bar is going the whole hog, serving a full-on deep-fried meal of brussel sprouts, roast potatoes and carrots, wrapped in a turkey breast.
Christmas food doesn't get any batter than this.
