Coach reveals bags inspired by London’s fashion scene
What does the word ‘coach’ mean to you? A red-faced man bellowing instructions from the side of a football pitch?
Perhaps it’s the way Americans describe economy class on planes. Or maybe you immediately think of the dopey barman in early episodes of Cheers.
What probably doesn’t instantly spring to mind is the luxury US accessories house. But that’s set to change as it opens its new global flagship store in London on 26 August.
It’s well timed — the firm was founded in 1941, making this its 70th anniversary. To commemorate the occasion (and to help you remember its address on 41 New Bond Street) it’s launching a new line called the 41 Collection.
This range includes two men’s leather bags: the Bleecker Legacy Savile Tote (picture 1) and the Bleecker Legacy Jermyn Travel bag (picture 2). Both are inspired by UK fashion shopping destinations and are available exclusively at the new boutique.
They’ll be priced at £435 and £645 respectively when it opens its doors.
