Just like Americans don’t ‘get’ cricket, it’s widely assumed a similar degree of mistrust exists between us Brits and baseball. The naysayers call it glorified rounders; we reckon it looks ace – how comfortingly American the concept of the ballgame is – but we just don’t understand it.
