It seems you can’t move for film spoilers these days. Every man and his dog wants to dampen your night out at the cinema by giving away the big reveal - even the studios, apparently…
The latest full-length trailer for Terminator Genisys doesn't exactly hold back, firing out plenty of major plot reveals compared to what we've seen in the last few teases. So if you want to go in with fresh eyes, don’t go any further.
We already knew Arnie’s Terminator had stayed on earth to fight his younger self. We also knew Jason Clarke played grown up rebel leader of the future John Connor. Which, while true to an extent, it turns out Connor's actually been turned into some deadly half being, declaring himself neither man nor machine, hopping through time to meet his family and slay ‘good Arnie’ and co.
Not that there aren't more surprises ahead, mind. Details about Matt Smith’s character (Tim) have been scant so far, leading us to believe he’s going to play some sort of special role in all this, with rumours of his role ranging from a rebel commander to a human embodiment of Skynet itself. But then with a name like Tim, he’ll probably just be an accountant.
Either way, we’ll be glued to the edge of our cinema seat come 3 July.
