Yes there was a big American football game last night. Yes Beyonce sang at half-time. But, as ever, the Super Bowl also treated us to a set of brand new trailers for some of the year's biggest movies.
We've assembled the best for you to watch below:
Star Trek Into Darkness
Unsurprisingly one of the best ads of the Super Bowl comes from a film which has already been winning at marketing in general. We get a sneak at some new footage too, including a spectacularly arrogant statement from lead baddie Benedict Cumberbatch. He's probably right though.
Iron Man 3
This might just be our favourite and not just for the SNL-style opening joke. The ensuing action is also rather incredible. HOW IS HE GOING TO SAVE ALL 13 PEOPLE etc etc.
Fast & Furious 6
Looking like it might continue along the same lines as the surprisingly enjoyable fifth instalment, this predictably unhinged (and predictably techno soundtracked) look at FF6, or whatever, is a bit ace. Bonus points for the London setting.
The Lone Ranger
They had us at the Tom Wilkinson voiceover and yes, they briefly lost us with the title name-check, but they won us back again with some fun throwback action. Could go either way this one.
Snitch
More Rock, sorry Dwayne Johnson, in this undercover action flick which looks like it could end up being a bit fun. Like Donnie Brasco but with more things exploding.
World War Z
Okay so it might just be a squashed down version of the trailer but it's still worth a look. When are they going to start using the Z word though? Just wondering.
