The final trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens is absolutely badass
There’s been a disturbance in the fibre optic.
Almost a year since the first teaser for The Force Awakens sent the internet into virtual meltdown, now comes the final trailer, giving us our best glimpse yet at a plot kept so tightly under wraps you sense Disney has been employing some Stormtroopers of its own.
From the old timers (we see Leia and Han Solo embracing for the first time in three decades) to the new kids on the block (Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren finally speaks), there’s a lot to take in amid the wanton destruction, dogfights and hair-raising score.
It also appears Kylo Ren – who we may also see hanging out with the Knights of Ren if one image of a dark group skulking about in the rain is anything to go by – could well have ‘the force’, something Abrams has previously denied, simply calling him a subordinate to Andy Serkis' real Sith overlord, as we see him squeezing the life out of Oscar Isaacs’s X-Wing pilot Poe Dameron with Darth Vader-like panache.
Much like that choke hold, the force really is strong with this trailer.
