With big releases appearing consistently last year, we’re gearing up for an exciting 89th Oscar ceremony – hosted by none other than Jimmy Kimmel.
Instead of just one predictable winner in each category we have many, making the outcome gleefully unpredictable. It’s also a set of nominations that is set to shake things up.
The headlines? There are notably more non-white actors following last years boycott #oscarssowhite and La La Land could match the Oscar record of 14 awards. Meryl Streep has made history just by being nominated for her 20th award and, oh yeah, Mel Gibson is back in the fold.
