You're going to have to wait a painfully long time for Star Wars: Episode VIII

In the immortal words of Darth Vader...
Disney has pushed back the release of Star Wars: Episode VIII from May 2017 to 15 December 2017.
Seven heart-breaking months.
The eight instalment of the saga (official title yet to be announced) was set for a traditional "summer blockbuster", but the record-breaking success of The Force Awakens (it's the third largest international release, raking in $1.886 billion to date) has presumably led Disney to believe it's on to a sure bet with a December release. This year's Rogue One spin-off film is set for a release on 16 December - Disney is intent on making a trip to a galaxy far, far away something of a Christmas tradition.
However, Episode VIII won't be the only major sci-fi blockbuster looking to tempt cinema goers into parting with their cash in December: James Cameron's long-awaited (we'd forgotten about it, it's been that long) Avatar 2 will release on 25 December.
Let us know which big screen behemoth you'd rather see in 2017 below.
