Last year's Golden Globes brought a fair amount of controversy to Ricky Gervais's door. After half of Hollywood fell out with him, no-one would have expected him to get the job yet again.
But this Sunday sees him back in the spotlight and before he goes and offends everyone again, here's a remionder of exactly what he said last year:
"Seems like everything this year was three-dimensional. Except the characters in The Tourist. I'd like to quash the rumours that the only reason The Tourist was nominated was so that the Hollywood Foreign Press can hang out with Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie. That is rubbish, that is not the only reason. They also accepted bribes." Ricky Gervais on one of the more bizarre nominations.
"I don't know if this qualifies as gentle reassurance, but right now this is all that stands between me and a Harley Davidson." Colin Firth on why his win makes him feel better as he gets older.
"There's gotta be an easier way to get a standing ovation." Michael Douglas in the week he beat cancer.
"It's going to be a night of partying and heavy drinking. Or as Charlie Sheen calls it — breakfast." Ricky Gervais on the troublesome Wall Street star.
"I'm going to try to talk fast before that sad music comes on." Steve Buscemi accepting an award for Boardwalk Empire
"I don't know if an actress can do her best work, until I've slept with her...If I could, I'd give it to all five of you, at once." Robert Downey Jr as he gave out the award for Best Actress (Comedy/Musical).
"Two heterosexual actors pretending to be gay -- which is the exact opposite of some famous Scientologists," Ricky Gervais talking about I Love You Philip Morris.
