The best beer subscription boxes 2023: which beer delivery service is best?

UPDATED: The best beer subscription boxes revealed - great beer delivery services.

16 March 2023

You can get just about anything delivered to your door on a regular basis. Beer is no exception and there are a number of different services on the market for you to choose from, all vying to become the best beer subscription box around.

UPDATE: It has been a tumultuous time in the brewing business and, sadly, some of our favourite subscription boxes have been wound down. We've given our best beer subscription boxes shortlist a thorough re-working for 2023, cutting out the legacy subs and adding some new favourites. These include North Brewing's and Duration Beer's Beer Clubs.

The common denominator, of course, is that you get beer. The type of beer you get and whether there are extras thrown in like a magazine and the best beer snacks, varies.

Not all of them are monthly, so you needn’t be trying to drink through an entire box every month if you just want an occasional beer.

Here are our picks of the moment.

Best beer subscription boxes

The most modern and innovative subscription box you can get is by Brewser, which introduces a new way to get beer every month. Rather than a mix of different breweries in one box, you can choose a different one each month.

What you get from each brewery will differ slightly but the service is easy to use and you can either plan ahead, picking a brewery, or get one at random if you’re feeling adventurous. Brewser has over 120 breweries available to choose from with more being added regularly and you can edit, skip and cancel online quickly with no hassle.

Everything is delivered directly from the brewery to ensure freshness and cut down on carbon footprint, plus a tree is planted for every box.

One of the stalwarts of the UK brewing scene now has its own club and while it’s a little more expensive than some, the brewery packs a lot in.

You get a selection of beers including one that’s exclusive to the club and occasionally merch, too. There’s also 15% off the webstore, early access to releases, an anniversary glass, birthday gift and TBC pin badge. It's worth noting that Thornbridge was originally charging £40 for this box but has now reduced it to £30, with a slight reduction in the amount of beers that come in the pack. Head to its site for more information.

Members also get 10% off at the Springwell Tap and North Taproom so you just need to choose Silver or Gold membership which will get you either 6 or 12 beers every month respectively.

Either way, you’ll get a monthly booklet and regular additions like glassware, merch and event invitations.
