Fujifilm has announced an update to its instax mini camera, which knocks out physical images the moment you take them, offering perfect mementos for all occasions and keepsakes from those memory-bank moments.
The updated version of the classic camera, the instax mini 41, will be released on 17th April. It comes with a tweaked design that doesn’t reinvent what came before but iterates and refines how it looks while maintaining its classic aesthetic.
What will be most important for anyone who’s used an instant camera before is that this iteration has an Automatic Exposure function. In layman’s terms, this means the shutter speed and flash output have been optimised so the prints can be of a higher quality regardless of whether you’re inside in low-light situations or out in blazing sunshine.
Another huge addition to instax mini camera is the inclusion of parallax correction, which should help users keep their photos centralised even when using close-up mode.
Portable design and a swish case too
The refreshed instax mini 41 remains nice and portable, able to fit in a small bag.
To keep this camera powered, you will need two AA batteries, and if you want to know how big the camera is exactly, the size specifications are listed below . The main takeaway? It’s tiny:
- 104.5 mm × 122.5 mm × 67.5 mm
- 345 g (without batteries, instax mini film loaded and strap attached)
Looking to pick one up? It will cost £94.99 for just the camera, with the case sold separately for £20.99 — reasonable, considering it’s designed to match, utilising a similar grey. It even features a back pocket to hold your photos.
