2014 Console Wars Infographic

Getting up to speed ahead of E3 2014 has been tough. The hours of gaming have been long, the cans of energy drink numerous, and those chill-flavoured Doritos won’t eat themselves, will they?

Okay, so perhaps, minus the odd thumb spasm, playing a wide range of video games hasn’t been too arduous a task leading up to the world’s biggest gaming expo. But the fact remains: it’s been a colossal year for the industry.

We’ve had some major next-gen console releases in the shape of the X-Box One, PlayStation 4 and Wii-U - which, helpfully, is a console war which has been neatly plotted in this inventive infographic.

The graphic, designed by Unique Magazines, also packs in information on future console exclusives and the biggest selling games this year (note: the latest Mario Kart hasn’t been included).
