The first trailer for 300: Rise of an Empire has landed, and it is suitably epic. In a hugely surprising twist, there's absolutely no scenes of battles or people getting axed. No, we're lying, there's loads.
The pseudo-sequel to 2008's 300 (it features events before, during and after the first film) is directed by Noam Murro and features Sullivan Stapleton, Eva Green, Callan Mulvey, Hans Matheson, and Jack O'Connell in the lead roles.
The story will focus on the Battle of Artemisium, between the Greeks and the Persians, but don't expect too much of a history lesson: there'll be plenty of fighting, some fighting and a bit more fighting too.
300: Rise of an Empire is scheduled for release on March 7th 2014
