A trampoline park with laser tag and a mega slide is coming to London
For those who want to OD on activities
Ah, sweet nostalgia.
Between bars with massive ball pits, cereal cafes and bowling with booze, it seems that there’s been a rise in adding alcohol to the activities your mum used to try and fill half-term with to make us forget all of our worries.
Latest and largest in line for the next opening is Flip Out in East Ham.
They’re already ruling the trampoline game (with locations across the UK) but Flip Out are turning it up a notch for their new opening, which will cost £1.8 million.
A stag-do dream, there will be 12 themed climbing walls, including ice and volcano ones, a super-slide with a near-30ft drop and two floors of trampolines.
There will also be a laser-quest area and a “Ninja Warrior” assault course zone.
Oh yeah, and an indoor potholing network. You know, basically crawling through caves and challenging claustrophobia without the risk of dying.
The twisting 100 yards of dark pathways and caverns is underneath the trampoline park and the idea is to figure your way back to the surface. Or see how well you can build a mole society, up to you really.
It’s all in a former theatre-turned-bingo-hall which in its ’60s heyday hosted The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.
At least this kind of nostalgia doesn’t lead to Brexit.
Flip Out London E6 opens in spring at 281 Barking Road, E6 1LB.
