Any US sports fan worth his salted pretzel will harbour a love of statistics, those cold hard facts, figure and numbers which turn sport into a science. Like the baseball card.
Well now this format has been applied to football, or rather soccer, as New York graphic designer Criswell Lappin has created World 32, an all-star series of typographic posters detailing information about every team playing in the current 2014 World Cup.
Stripped down to the team’s home colours and written in emboldened Helvetica, there’s an air of cool lent by the simplicity of this print series, and coupled with the fact you've now even more ways of impressing fellow bar-goers as you follow events over in Brazil, Lappin has truly hit it out of park with this project.
