Action-packed Second Trailer For Exodus: Gods And Kings
'Noah meets Twister meets Magnolia meets The Scorpion King.'
Now, we’re not sure whether Ridley Scott made this genre-defying pitch when pitching Exodus: Gods And Kings, but judging by the latest trailer for the upcoming blockbuster, which sees crashing waves, tornados, plagues and chariot battles across Ancient Egypt aplenty, it wouldn't have been far off the money.
Whereas the last trailer seemed content to focus on the emotional turmoil between Christian Bale’s Moses and maleficent sibling Ramses (Joel Edgerton), this one ramps the action up to - quite literally - biblical proportions.
As the duo come to blows and the ruling Ramses orders the destruction of his brother and his family, the waterlogged CGI action crashes down thick and fast, including locusts, frogs, sweeping battle scenes and, of course, a beardy Christian Bale bellowing grand speeches all over the shop.
Normally ahead of such an epic film release we’d suggest reading the book, on which it's based, first. But something tells us you wouldn't finish it in time.
Exodus: Gods And Kings is in cinemas from Boxing Day
