Only a fool goes running in suede trainers. Which is why the new Tubular Moc Runner from adidas Originals is set to be the most athletic shoe you've ever worn on a trip to the pub.
The most significant 2014 release of the German sports giant, the latest iteration of the Tubular shows off the trainer's potential to dress itself up as something other than an urban sports shoe. The Y-3-inspired chunky tube sole remains unchanged, but the svelte breathable materials of the upper have been swapped out for set of textured suede and warm leathers.
Gone is the plastic lacing structure, replaced by a leather unit that echoes the iconic Three Stripes branding. Aspects of the Tubular's modern credentials are in evidence, from the sock-like tongue to the mesh-covered heel section.
Available in blue, black and beige hues, the Tubular Moc Runner is set to arrive in adidas retailers in February.
