The Alien franchise has got away with a lot. While most things that scare us as kids (clowns, Brussels sprouts, that ex-con ice cream man) have continued to plague us for the rest of our lives, the sci-fi horror series (well the first two at least) have actually been remembered fondly in our sick, sadistic minds.
Despite causing some irrational night sweats in our younger years, we've now spent far too much time extolling the virtues of Ridley Scott and James Cameron's monster movies.
Looks like we're not the only ones. Inspiring a group of fans with far more graphic design know-how than us, this selection of alternative Alien posters has managed to make us happy and scared and jealous and scared. You can find the artists at the bottom.
