We're not sure where the apocryphal rumour came from, but we've always eaten extra servings of carrots in the hope we'll gain superhuman night vision. It's had no noticeable effect as of yet.
While Anwar Carrots' collaboration with Puma doesn't see the resulting trainers glow in the dark, they do stand out from the crowded shelves of this summer's releases.
Carrots, one half of the Peas & Carrots International brand with Josh Peas, has reimagined the iconic Puma Suede Classic in two vibrant colourways: the lighter pair feature a grey upper with a line-enhancing orange stripe with turquoise laces and inner, while the darker (and our preferred) model switches the colours around for a black suede upper, picked out with turquoise stripper and orange details. Both feature a gold (24?) Carrot logo on the tongue tab.
Available at select PUMA retailers from 25 June, we're pretty certain this is the most excited we've been about a vegetable.
