This is our (clean) interpretation of what went through the mind of Apple's General Counsel (fancy law-talking guy) Bruce Sewell when his iPad Pro started playing up - just as he was making his opening statements to the House Judiciary Committee.
Sewell was reading his introductory statement on the FBI/Apple spat to the committee from his larger-than-life iPad Pro, when 'something' happened.
Perhaps the app Sewell was running his speech on crashed? Maybe his iPad Pro locked automatically, and he didn't want to show those behind him what his PIN was.
Or perhaps SOMEONE HACKED HIS IPAD PRO AND SENT HIM A THREATENING MESSAGE THAT THE FBI WAS WATCHING HIM AT ALL TIMES.
Nah, it probably just locked.
Either way, there was a sweet irony in Sewell having to resort to a back up document - contained in his good old-fashioned ring binder of papers.
A bit easier to hack, sure, but at least it doesn't lock itself.
