Apple has revealed that it has updated its entry-level MacBook Pro and MacBook Air, just in time for the Back to School promotion.
These updates have been rumoured for a while and now we know that the MacBook Air's innards have been upgraded - there's now new quad-core (read: speedy) processors powering the thing which make the machine twice as powerful as it was before.
The icing on the upgrade cake is the addition of a Touch Bar and Touch ID to the models. It'll cost you £1,299 if you want this laptop.
The MacBook Air hasn't has as big a spec change but its screen now has True Tone technology, which makes the Retina display a little easier on the eye. It's also been given a new keyboard and its price has been reduced to £1,099.
Apple is starting its Back To School promotion as well, although we are still waiting for the discount page to go live.
It's promising a whole slew of discounts, though, including a pair of Beats Studio 3 Wireless headphones with the purchase of a qualifying Mac notebook or iMac.
You are eligible for the discount if you are in, or teach, higher education.
