Yes, we know that it's hard to see past films without superheroes and/or evil aliens at this time of the year but if you're willing to look into the future, a brand new trailer demands your close attention right away.
Argo, Ben Affleck's third film as a director (after the impressive crime dramas Gone Baby Gone and The Town) sees him tell one of the strangest true stories you're ever likely to hear.
During the Iranian revolution in the 70s, a group of American hostages escape from the US embassy in Tehran and find refuge in the home of the Canadian ambassador. A CIA specialist, played by Affleck, then concocts an incredible plan to get them out of there. We don't want to spoil too much for you so you're going to need to press play for the rest.
Needless to say, it looks like a winner and we're predicting Oscar success for Affleck in 2013.
Argo is released in cinemas on October 12th.
