It was bound to happen. After both the rabid success of The Social Network and the recent death of the Apple mogul, a Steve Jobs Jobs biopic is currently underway.
What's a bit more surprising is the choice of actor that's set to play him.
Although we're used to seeing him in comedies, such as TV roles in That 70s Show and Two and A Half Men, Ashton Kutcher will be taking on the role of the tech pioneer in an indie film called Jobs. It wil be directed by Joshua Michael Stern, who has been behind Kevin Costner comedy Swing Vote and, ermm, Amityville: Dollhouse.
According to Variety, the film will follow Jobs from his hippie days right through to his massive successes.
As ever, it's not the only biopic in the running. Sony are also prepping a bigger-budget biopic but it looks as if Kutcher's version will be out first.
It might seem like a strange choice but after looking at some early pictures of Jobs, we can see an uncanny resemblance. What do you think?
