Bacon Bloody Mary Ice Lollies

Just when you thought the words 'bacon' and 'Bloody Mary’ would never be associated with frozen dessert comes the food creation nobody asked for but is getting anyway.

Spotting the most niche of all culinary gaps, the clever folk at Thrillist have plugged it with - yes, you guessed it - Bacon Bloody Mary Popsicles.

Quite why anyone would want their bacon coupled with a heavy vodka cocktail and solidified around a stick for the purposes of licking, we’re not sure, but we’d be lying if we said we weren't keen to try it for ourselves.

Best of all, you can make them at home for yourself should you be so inclined. The recipe is here, and involves brown sugar and chili powder to candify the bacon which is then wrapped around a breadstick along with those usual suspects oft used to make a Bloody Mary.

We might have just found our new favourite hangover cure.
