For those of us not embroiled in the politics and hierarchy of street art, there's been a war going on.
While Banksy may be the street artist of choice for the broadsheets, he's a publicity-seeking upstart to many of the scene's founding fathers.
One in particular has taken particular umbrage with the mysterious Bristolian. King Robbo, an artist operating in London since the 80s, found himself in the middle of a feud after Banksy painted over his 25-year-old mural. Thus began a game of one-upmanship as the pair continued to modify each other's work.
Now, along with his cohorts who make up 'Team Robbo', he's showing his work in a gallery for the first time. You can see a selection of their work at the Signal Gallery in London from April 8th. If you want to risk p***ing Banksy off then make sure you check it out. More details here.
