Very few British-born wardrobe staples have earned the same level of iconic status as the Baracuta Harrington jacket.
Favoured by the likes of Steve McQueen, Sinatra, Elvis and The Clash, the slim-fit cotton blouson has become a national institution.
And now Baracuta has launched a capsule range of three limited-edition jackets, entitled ‘Project 137’ to mark its founding date of 1937, all crafted from traditionally British exclusive cloths.
Individually numbered as a series of only 137 units of each style, the original slim-fit G9 Harrington comes in a waxed British Millerain 100 per cent cotton, available in black and classic dark green (pictured) or crafted from a grey wool houndstooth, while the G4 fit gets a heritage makeover in checked Harris Tweed with a ‘Fraser’ tartan lining.
Already a cult classic, these special-edition, archive-inspired pieces are sure to be instant collector’s items.
