Did Beijing Rip Off ‘Let It Go’ For Their 2022 Winter Olympics Song?

You may have been privy to the news last week that Beijing will host the 2022 Winter Olympics, one of sports great eye-roll moments given the nation's distinct lack of snow, water or winter conditions in general.
But, hey, who are we to judge, right? We’re sure they can do good cold fun as good as anyone. Probably.
Well now it’s also come to our attention that one of Beijing’s official songs for the bid is a track called The Snow and Ice Dance, by a pair of artists known as Sun Nan and Tan Jing.
And the song in question sounds a hell of lot like Let It Go, the annoyingly infectious earworm from Disney’s hit film Frozen, a winter film nonetheless.

A spokeswoman for the Beijing Games told the The New York Times that she couldn’t comment on the song, despite the fact that Caijing Online’s analysis of the track found it shares the same prelude chords, introduction and is more or less the same tempo.
It’s like Coldplay and Satriani all over again.
