So we're starting to worry that next year, we might find it literally impossible to concentrate on anything but the cinema.
What with The Avengers, Prometheus, The Dark Knight Rises, The Hobbit, The Bourne Legacy and The Amazing Spider-Man heading our way, we're also going to be pretty poor come 2013. But today, an official announcement has popped the next Bond film onto the schedule as well.
The press conference has also confirmed what we'd already suspected, that the new film will indeed by called Skyfall. It will also star Daniel Craig, obviously, as well as Judi Dench, Bérénice Marlohe, Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Wishaw & Albert Finney.
The official synopsis reads as follows: “Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.”
Director Sam Mendes said: "Bond's journey takes him to Istanbul, Shanghai in China and to Scotland". He also added that he "can't reveal too much at the moment but there will be lots if surprises".
Oh and what does Skyfall mean? Well apparently it "has some emotional context which will be revealed in the film". There had better be someone falling from the damn sky.
