When it comes to headphones for our latest crack-bang-whizz, bleeding edge MP3 player (ok, Walkman) we instinctively do the opposite to Premier League footballers.

So while Ashley Cole, Rio Ferdinand and co seem to be slavishly following some ‘bigger is better’ dictum, we prefer subtler ‘phones. Unsurprisingly then, we’ve fallen hard for these new headphones from Bowers & Wilkins.

Entitled C5 (no laughing at the back), these beauties cut out all unwanted noise thanks to a Micro Porous Filter, while the unique Secure Loop design keeps them cushioned nicely in your ear.

Priced at £149.95, they’re not cheap, but if you want to experience every nuance of Bon Iver’s marvellous new album, then we think you’ll agree it’s a price worth paying.
