Us Brits have a proud tradition of exporting the best bits of our culture to the good old US of A. To wit Charlie Chaplin, the Beatles and, erm, Piers Morgan. To that list you can now add Bullseye.
The emblematic 80s darts show is set for an incredible revival Stateside. Although the show is fondly remembered by folk of a certain dotage (we’re guessing 30-plus), we hadn’t thought it was ripe for a Hollywood makeover.
However, the owners of the show’s rights have reportedly sold an adaptation to the LA production company that make the American version of The Weakest Link.
It’s thought the makers are hoping to tap into the increasing popularity of darts across the pond. Unfortunately, none-more-Northern host Jim Bowen isn’t in line to front the remake. More’s the pity.
