You can now apply for the dream job of Cadbury chocolate taster – here’s how
This would be pretty... sweet
The idea of a dream job is often nonsense – a lot of the time you’ll get it, spend two weeks enjoying it, and then find it’s somehow lost its spark.
Maybe the problem, however, is that your dreams aren’t ambitious enough. Maybe you’re staying too realistic and winding up with an exciting but still ultimately ‘normal’ job, instead of going for something outlandish.
What we’re saying here is maybe it’s time to apply for a ridiculous job like ‘official chocolate taster for Cadbury’, which has conveniently just come on the market.
Unlike all those other ‘dream job’ gigs you see doing the rounds, this one is based close to home.
According to the job description posted by Cadbury’s parent company Mondelez International, the job will be based in Wokingham in Berkshire, with candidates required to “be able to taste chocolate products and give objective and honest feedback”.
That probably goes beyond “this is great” followed by “this is great too” and “give me more chocolate”.
Cadbury has released a fair few new chocolates in the past few years, and we don’t just mean those limited edition white crème eggs.
The ‘Joy Fills’ range of Cadbury and Oreo products launched in 2018, while the larger ‘Big Taste’ bars have been on the market for a couple of years.
“Our Chocolate Tasters are key in helping Mondelez perfect and launch an entirely new product all over the world by tasting and providing feedback just like our consumers,” the job spec reads.
It requires no experience, which is good, but it’s only part-time for a maximum of eight hours per week. Still, free chocolate! Click through here to start your application.
