This Canadian town will give you a job and land for just moving there

Always fancied moving and starting out fresh but haven't had the means to do? Then this Canadian shop's new recruitment effort is the stuff of dreams.

Cape Breton is a beautiful small town at the eastern end of Nova Scotia. 150,000 people call it home, it's pretty damn picture-esque, but there's one small problem...

The Farmer's Daughter Country Market is a general store in Cape Breton and they're looking to expand their workforce. However, they've already hired everybody in town who needed a job and are struggling to find new recruits.

In order to get some fresh meat on board they're offering prospective employees a job and two acres of land to live on. The only catch is that you'll have to be authorised to work in Canada (which just takes an invitation from a Canadian employer approved by the Ministry of Employment and Social Development, and a work permit).

If this sounds like your dream come true then you can head over to the store's Facebook page where the offer is being advertised - but some families are already filling the available slots.

“We are an established business in the heart of Cape Breton, rich in jobs, land, and potential, but no people,” the job advert explains.

“Are you someone who is looking to live a simpler life, close to nature, in an area that still believes in community meals and weekly jam sessions? We can't give you big money, but we can give you an awesome life.”

The only real catch is that the pay is, as they mentioned,  not exactly Bill Gates level, and you'll need to stick at the job for five years before the land officially becomes yours.
