Channing Tatum To Lead New All-Male Ghostbusters Film
After announcing an all-female Ghostbusters film earlier this year Sony have, in the interests of equality and big bags of money, announced an all-male one as well.
The film will be a counterpart to the Paul Freig directed production, due to start filming in June, and is set to star Channing Tatum and possibly Guardian of the Galaxy Star Lord, Chris Pratt (because which upcoming films don't?)
The Russo brothers, who directed Captain America: The Winter Soldier, will direct the film and Brit screenwriter David Pearce (Iron Man 3 and Mission Impossible 5) will write it.
The new film is part of what Sony hope will become a franchise and they have hired original director Ivan Reitman and star Dan Aykroyd to head up a new production company called Ghostcorps.
In an interview with Deadline.com, Reitman said “We want to expand the Ghostbusters universe in ways that will include different films, TV shows, merchandise, all things that are part of modern filmed entertainment.”
Who you gonna call? An accountant by the sound of things.
