When it comes to the kitchen, we’ve all talked a good game. “I could rustle that up, no problem.” Thanks to the most recent innocent inspires event, a new group of people are now walking the walk.
The most recent evening in the innocent inspires series was all about good taste, and featured Michelin-starred chef Ollie Dabbous sharing his tips for how to shine in the kitchen and explaining what it’s really like to run one of the most talked about restaurants around, the stunning Dabbous (on Whitfield Street).
Food designer Emilie Baltz was there to explain how taste works and get everyone playing with their senses, while Kerstin Rodgers (aka Ms Marmite Lover) revealed her top tips for entertaining at home. Florence Knight, head chef at Polpetto, shared the importance of eating seasonally – and how to go about it – before jellymongers extraordinaire Bompas & Parr actually set fire to one of their jellies. (Because there’s always room for jelly, right?)
innocent inspires is a series of one-off events run by the smoothie maker, innocent, with the aim of exciting and inspiring people about the values innocent is most passionate about. This latest evening ensured the packed room went away blessed with a new knowledge of all things taste-related, and being thoroughly inspired to go that extra mile in the kitchen.
