Hands up who wants to live forever?

Cross-charity group Remember A Charity has launched a campaign to establish just how many of us want to cheat death. Their incentive for the survey? A prize that somewhat gazumps the cash of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and the fame of X-Factor. Eternal life.

Or sort of. Remember A Charity haven't found the fountain of eternal youth. Formed in 2000 to help charitable causes encourage us to consider leaving a charitable gift in our Wills, the organisation is offering the chance to win a bespoke cryonics insurance policy.

By heading to live-forever.com, anyone who takes part in the survey can either opt for the theoretical life-lengthening freezer prize or a £1,000 donation on their behalf to their favoured charity.

Given that there is no proof that cryogenics will work (it's all based on a theory published by physicist Robert Ettinger in 1962 - that freezing people could help preserve them for a future in which advanced medical knowledge could revive them), here's hoping some charity's win some much-needed funds. That, or you could join the 300-or-so people currently living in a freezer.

So do you want to live forever? Head to the charity site to cast your vote.
