Courteeners have fought their way to become one of Britain's biggest and most well-loved bands, surviving an era that has not been kind to guitar bands and emerging on the other side.
Incredibly, they are currently readying the release of their fifth album Mapping the Rendevous, while they are about to embark on their biggest ever UK tour, playing arenas in their northern heartlands - no surprise given that they sold 25,000 tickets when they played Manchester's Heaton Park last year.
With the album due for release on 28 October, we're delighted to premiere the video for No One Will Ever Replace Us, exclusively on ShortList. The black and white promo features the band taking their true place as works of art.
According to frontman Liam Fray, the song is “about finding love in the unlikely surroundings of Glastonbury. There’s almost an under-pinning fear about when you’ve got something so good, and you don’t want it to end.”
