Forget everything you thought you knew about Clarks. Unless you'd already seen their collaboration with PATTERNITY or the equally brilliant sponsored_longform with Concepts - in which case, push these memories to the front of your mind. The point is, Clarks are no longer the purveyors of stuffy school shoes and brogues that pinch.
The British label has added to its rostra of rejuvenated footwear with three brilliant silhouettes envisioned by the guys at The Staple.
The reinterpretation of the Tawyer Twist, the Tawyer Helix, and the Clarks Originals Wallabee are based around the slightly "A level art project" concept of past, present and future - but fear not, they look great.
The Past colours the Clarks Originals Wallabee silhouette in signature Pigeon colorway, using a smooth grey leather upper and a red outsole on the Wallabee’s traditional crepe bottom.
The Present reworks the Tawyer Twist in navy, with a subtle helix design and neoprene sock liner.
Things get dramatically high concept in the case of the Future - the Tawyer Helix twisted to within an inch of its functionality. Still, it'll help your feet to stay cool?
Set to arrive in global retailers from today, we'll be making like a pigeon and flocking to Clark.co.uk for more news.
