Premier League side West Brom are running a competition with a hugely unusual prize - the bloodstained shirt of central defender Jonas Olsson.
Olsson was injured during the Baggies' win against Manchester United at the weekend, suffering a cut to the face. Under football's health and safety rules, he had to leave the pitch and replace his shirt - but the club are now offering fans the change to win the unwashed garment.
They jokingly suggest that the winner refrains from 'using the DNA on the shirt to clone your own Jonas (or Clonas)' but fans have reacted with confusion to the rather unhygienic prize, one stating 'I love west brom but this is a little weird' and another saying 'This has got to be the oddest competition ever'.
However, others are more positive, one commenting on Facebook, 'The blood of a swedish viking offered in battle for the glory of WBA, a truly priceless artifact!'
