In a move which has surely sent Italy’s getaway driver trade into meltdown, the boot-shaped nation’s police force has just been given its very own Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 ‘Polizia’.
Replacing the Gallardo which authorities have used (cautiously) for over six years, the supercar makers say the donation of their latest model, unveiled in a special ceremony Rome recently, is to “sustain security on Italian roads” - helped no end by Proof Video Data System, HQ video and number plate recognition.
More than simply being Kitt from Knight Rider with an accent, however, there’s also enough going on under the hood to ensure any absconding felons will think twice before getting into a high speed pursuit against a police vehicle which vaunts a top speed of 202mph.
And if those high performance traits weren't anti-deterrent enough, the vehicle comes with four different sirens - yes, four. Like it needed much help being seen or heard.
