Nicki Minaj might like singing about Anacondas, but we bet she wouldn't want to meet one as big as this.
This utterly enormous snake was found last week by recreational fishermen Sirlei Oliveira, Betinho Borges and Rodrigo Santos in the Santa Maria river in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul. As they approached a bank, the serpent - estimated at an incredible 17 feet long - swished out of the water into view.
Instead of putting their foot down, Borges then decided to try and grab the animal's tail, successfully managing it a couple of times before letting it go - they were later fined the equivalent of $600 each by the local environmental police after they saw the video.
It looks like it had recently had a rather large meal, explaining why it didn't try and go for the group - lucky for them.
