If this bag were a car, it would be a Bentley. If it were a plane, it would be a Gulfstream. If it were… Well, you get the idea. It’s none of these things, obviously. It’s a bag. But what a bag. And what makes it really special? You can personalise it to your own exacting specifications.
Two of the bags in Louis Vuitton’s revered Taiga leather line — the Neo Alexander and the Neo Igor — are part of a new customisation service. There are four exterior leather colours to choose from, along with a host of other contrasting shades for the inserts, which can be tailored especially for you, whether you require them to hold paperwork or cradle your iPad.
Once you’ve selected your colours, the ateliers at Louis Vuitton then use unique software to design your one-of-a-kind hand luggage before scurrying off to assemble your bespoke bag by hand. They take eight weeks to be delivered.
The price tag, naturally, reflects the individual nature of this service, so the Neo Igor will set you back £1,950, while the Neo Alexander comes in at £2,460. Better just ask for money for Christmas…
