Grab your diary and turn to October. Skim down to the 27th (it's a Tuesday). You're going to want to book it off. And probably the Wednesday as well.
It's the day the Microsoft and 343 Industries will launch Halo 5 - the ace that's been gathering dust up Xbox One's limited sleeves.
To mark the announcement of its release date and begin the drum-banging for Microsoft's major console franchise, two teaser trailers have emerged sporting the cryptic hashtag 'HuntTheTruth'. For those uninitiated in the Halo series, these 90 second mirrored shorts will only present more questions: the first shows a character by the name of Spartan Locke standing victorious over Master Chief (the lead protagonist of the series thus far), slumped by a statue erected in his own honour, while the second reverses the characters roles with Master Chief pointing the gun at Locke.
Could this point to Halo 5 relying on multiple narratives? Could in-game decisions change the course of the game for Halo 6? We'll have to wait until Microsoft shows off the game in full at E3 this June.
Halo 5 arrives on Xbox One on 27 October
